YouTube ab nächste Woche in Full HD

YouTube will ab kommender Woche sein seinen Service noch etwas verbessern. Bis dato ist die maximale Auflösung bei YouTube Videos 720p (1280×720) und es wird künftig auch möglich sein 1080p (1920×1080) Material hoch zu laden. Wenn man dann den HD Knopf bei einem Video drückt, hat man die Auswahl zwischen diesen beide Qualitäten.
Ich selber nutze, seit dem ich den neuen Kanal auf gemacht habe, ausschliesslich 720p Material. Das hat grade bei Aufnahmen von Programmen bzw. dem Desktop, den Vorteil, dass man was erkennt und nicht nur Matsch auf dem Bildschirm hat. Daher freut es mich, das ich nun meine Aufnahmen in 1080p hoch laden kann, fehlt mir nur noch der passende Monitor.
Ein weiterer Vorteil, dürfte es für die sein, die einen Full HD TV besitzen und einen PC angeschlossen haben. Mache ich auch sehr gerne, faul auf dem Sofa liegen und meine abonnierten Videos ansehen.Quelle: YouTube Blog
Nachtrag:
Ich habe eben mal ein Video in 1080p hoch geladen, sollte dann ab nächster Woche ja auch in drei Qualitätsstufen zu bewundern sein, nur mal so zum testen.

Finde ich großartig. Ich persönlich habe einen Full-HD Monitor und wenn es dann auch endlich guten Full-HD Inhalt auf YouTube gibt, dann lohnt sich der Monitor auch ^^

Das ist eine gute Neuerung, die ich für begrüßenswert halte. Das einzige, was mir Sorge bereitet, ist die Tatsache, dass dann vermutlich das Skript für den HD-Download bei YouTube in seiner bisherigen Form nicht mehr funktionieren wird. Eventuell kannst Du uns ja dann das neue Skript hier reinstellen, wenn das alte wirklich nicht mehr für diese neue Auswahlfunktion zwischen den zwei HD-Auflösungen geeignet sein sollte? Das wäre sehr nett

Leider habe ich beim Mac nur einen 15 Zoll Monitor, reicht zum Arbeiten, allerdings kommt er nicht auf die 1080p Auflösung, daher werde ich meine Screencasts weiter im 720p machen müssen. Allerdings, ist es schön wenn ich mal am TV YouTube schauen will

Ich hoffe mal, das nur eine Stufe für die Qualität hinzukommt, also zu fmt 18 für kleine MP4, fmt 22 für 720p vielleicht noch ein fmt xx für 1080p. Aber ich werde mal schauen, muss nur erst mal einen Film finden der das auch unterstützt. Dann schätze ich mal, da auch alle alten Videos konvertiert werden, da es ne ganze Zeit dauert, bis man viele 1080p Videos sieht.

Na, das klingt doch mal gut, da muss das Internet bestimmt schon nen bischl Speed haben, oder?
Auf jeden Fall ist das gut, das Youtube auch richtig Qualität der Videos hinarbeitet

Hab nen riesen LG Bildschirm, und konnte schon früher so ein Full HD Video betrachten, find ich sehr gut, da man vorallem auch alles sieht wie im Original (z.B. bei Tutorials wie man Bilder bearbeitet oder so).

Probleme werden sicher wieder die “Übergangszeiten” machen, evtl. auch die deutlich größeren Datenmengen. Dann dauert der download noch länger, v.a. für Nutzer älterer Geräte. Aber grundsätzlich ist das natürlich ein begrüßenswerter Fortschritt.
